Frequently Asked Questions

Who are you?

We are an established company running birdwatching tours to many locations around the world. We have been successfully running tours for 17 years and offer excellent value worldwide birding tours for birders by birders.

What do you offer that other birdtour companies don't?

We are available from 08.00 to 22.00 7 days a week to answer your questions (how often have you tried to ring other tour companies evenings and weekends only to find that they are closed?).

We offer videos of many of the tours.

We run an informative and comprehensive website, updated most days ratehr than annually like some other birdtour companies.

We give participants a free CD of photos of many of the birds and animals seen on many tours.

What don't you do?

Provide full colour brochures or newsletters.

Advertise in every magazine every month.

Have an expensive office with high overheads.

Constantly tell you how good we are: we let our tours do that.

Do you see less birds?

Quite the reverse, we often see more than other birdtour companies.

Do you use sub-standard accommodation?

No, we always use good accommodation and on most of our tours we use exactly the same accommodation as all the other birdtour companies.

Do you use less-experienced leaders?

Absolutely not. We use either highly-experienced UK leaders, the best local leaders, or a combination of both.

So why are you so cheap?

There is of course, no such thing as a cheap birdwatching tour but, because we have much lower overheads, we are a lot more reasonably-priced than our competitors.

Are you perfect?

Unfortunately not, no birdtour company is perfect. Sometimes we are away leading tours and can't answer the phone and sometimes things go wrong on tours like accommodation overbooking, vehicle breakdown etc. But we always put things right!

We have done a price comparison of some of our tour prices versus the prices of various other birdwatching tour companies. You may find this very interesting!
