COLOMBIA 2011
Birdfinders has been out in Colombia preparing for our fantastic new tour in April next year. We have travelled extensively in South America and were extremely impressed at how good the infrastructure of Colombia compares to that of other countries on the continent. For years Colombia had a (deserved) reputation as being a dangerous destination and very few birders travelled there despite the enticement of over 1,800 species. However, things have radically changed now as the strong and popular government is in control and it is safe to visit most of this fantastic country. Served by a good road network, excellent internal flights and a good network of lodges, Colombia is rapidly becoming the ultimate world birding destination. We are offering our first scheduled tour in April 2012 but you can be assured that it will not be our only tour to Colombia as we are already planning additional itineraries to this fantastic birding destination. Enjoy the photogallery: you will be have an excellent chance of seeing all of these species and many more on our tours!
